I truly believe that if we keep telling
the Christmas story,
singing the Christmas songs,
and living the Christmas spirit,
we can bring joy and happiness
and
peace to this world."
~ Norman Vincent Peale (1898-1993),

Once upon a time,
I thought faeries lived only in books,
old folktales, and the past.
That was before they burst upon my life as vibrant,
luminous beings, permeating my art
and
my everyday existence,
causing glorious havoc.
~Brian Froud

Of moonbeam, silver white;
His ink is dew from daisies sweet,
His pen a point of light.”

To laugh often and much;
to win the respect of intelligent people and
the affection of children;
to earn the appreciation of honest critics
and to endure the betrayal of false friends.
To appreciate beauty;
to find the best in others;
to leave the world a bit better whether
by a healthy child,
a garden patch,
or a redeemed social condition;
to know that even one life has breathed easier
because you have lived.
This is to have succeeded.

— Ralph Waldo Emerson

  “Our hearts grow tender with childhood memories
and love of kindred, and we are better throughout
the year for having, in spirit,
become a child again at Christmas-time.”
